We Have a Winner! And Cheers to ALL of You…

We have a give-away winner! Misty Krasawski, a pristine copy of Madeleine L’Engle’s Walking On Water is headed your way! Thanks to all of you for your comments, encouragements, warm wishes–and for helping spread the word about Golden Hours.

Lanier and I have loved working on Golden Hours–from Advent to Epiphany–and we toasted GH last night during a dinner outing with our husbands. Our strategerist, Lanier’s Philip, surprised us with a small (and discreet) Power Point presentation that recapped the journey, from the “I have an idea” e-mail to a shaky Podcast effort to seven great guest posts. The site’s stats surpassed our expectations, but most of all, we’ve been blessed by the warmth of this community of kindred spirits.

Christmas has come and gone, but we’re not going dark… we have plans and schemes for Golden Hours–more on that later.

In the meantime, heartfelt thanks to all of you, and congratulations Misty!

  1. I have so enjoyed reading this blog. You both are such an encouragement and really fun to read. Maybe you could continue on and do some more writing for the upcoming Easter holiday which will be upon us soon!

  2. Thank you for the beauty, warmth, and encouragement you gave me this year. I looked forward to reading each installment! Please continue. You introduced me to Elizabeth Goudge and helped me to ponder and savor the joy of the season. Please consider writing for the month leading up to Easter.

  3. Oh, I am so glad to hear Golden Hours may not be permanently finished. I miss this daily inspiration very much. It was indeed a lovely and inspiring part of Advent and Christmas.
You two created a thing of beauty and I and many others thank you so much.

  4. I have been so blessed to have followed this lovely, lovely blog. I am so hopeful that you decide to continue with something (anything:)). It has truly been so amazing and beautiful to follow. Thanks so much.

  5. I have tried to comment and tell you what a beautiful gift this blog has been to me over this season this year. Much of my time was spent sitting in a hospital with my mom, but I managed to always check in to see your lovely pictures and writing. I hope you find a way to keep the blog going, it was truly a gift and blessing to me.
    Thank you.

    1. Hi, Cheryl. The pattern is Indian Tree by Johnson Brothers. I believe it’s quite common, as I’ve seen it around and I got the cup and saucer for a song. Maybe the next give-away will involve a teacup…
